Chef Kevin Hall: The one-minute story of my life: Corporate guy turned Chef-getting to do what I wantHaving a ball! Third generastion Creole cook (beware:I'm not your personal trainer) I was a single Dad ( 3 sons), so I had to cook...a lot! What I like to cook: I can have a good time w/ just about anything- American/southern/south american/latin/carribean/italian- My friends joke that I could "blacken Ice cream if I wanted to" Who I cook for: All out blow-outs for family and friends! BBQ's, Easter, Thanksgiving, or just because! I'll get carried away in the kitchen, then get on the phone inviting friends. never seem to have any problems finding takers! My greatest cooking triumph: When my mother looked up after tasting something I had done. With an impish grin, she said "um, you did O.K. kid!" (that took years-She'd normally make a suggestion-she insisted that I work hard developing my skills-it was like winning an oscar!) My worst cooking disaster (so far): After a 13 hour day in the kitchen, I dropped a banquet sized peach cobbler w/ a homemade, basketweave, diagonally laid crust in the restuarant kitchen while preparing a brunch for aprox 200
